Im asian/white. I was looking for hair ideas when i saw a yahoo question about blonde hair looking bad on asian/black girls saying it looks 'fugly', 'trashy' etc (even afew asians agreed with this). So why is it if a white girl dyes their hair black no1 bats an eyelid bt if a asian/black girl dyes their hair blonde their critisied for denying their race! I believe it depends on ur skin tone nt your race if u can pull off a hair colour e.g some people dye their hair unnatural colours lke purple bt it can suit them %26amp; no1 calls them aliens! lol. Neways ive dyed my fine dark brown hair dark blonde and other students have said it suits me. SO im half asian but on the web r full japanese girls called 'gyarus' that look pretty with blonde/light brown hair some can even pull off ginger! cherrypop.over-blog has some pretty j-girls especially Mipopo shes my fave. R ppl like that denying asian/black ppl the right to dye their hair completly different by critising us?

It really does depend on your skin tone..I could pull off blonde hair (i'm biracial) but my mom (whos white) wouldn't be able to.

I dont think that non-whites look as good in blond hair as whites do. It looks very unnatural whether they pull it off or not. Do what you want. Its your life.

My opinion is to do whatever makes you happy. People are gonna talk regardless. If you like it then don't worry about it. I have seen some black/asian girls that look better with the blonde in their hair than some white girls. To me it doesn't matter what people think. It's your hair and if they don't like it then they don't have to look. I say if you are comfortable with it then do it. It has nothing to do with denying your race. That's just riciduolous. Just do whatever makes you happy and don't worry about everyone else.

The biggest bigots in the world are minorities. Do what you enjoy doing and ignore the nasty people who criticize you. My x gf was 1/2 Filipino and she tried different hair colors but i could never get her to try blond, but i think Asians with blond hair look HOT! Do what you want, your the one wearing it. Changing your hair color has nothing to do with your heritage... Good Luck!

i don't really care for blonde hair, but i have seen several asian girls with dark brown hair and blonde highlights and it looked really good on them but they all had really light skin tones. but this asian model i saw had blonde hair and then went back to a dark brown and she was like a mix of philipino, vietanmese and laos, so she was pretty dark and the blonde didn't quite work for her. so i agree on the whole skin tone/hair colour association thing.

It really depends on your skin coloring, eye color and general attitude. Some people can make anything look good, but generally, the darker your coloring, the less likely that light-colored hair will look on you.

The only reason I'm against blonde hair on women of color is because it doesn't look natural. I mean some ppl dye their hair purple and green, and certainly those colors aren't natural- but because it's impossible to be born with hair in those crazy colors-they're obviously not trying to pass it off as natural, they're just being 'creative' or 'edgy'. But when u dye Ur hair blonde, it閳ユ獨 like saying that Ur natural darker hair isn't beautiful. But if u can find a shade of blonde that doesn't wash u out, go for it, don't worry about other ppl. I personally prefer red tones.

I hate blond hair on people other than whites; and believe it or not, but there are few whites that look bad with blond hair lol. Anyway, it is just unnatural looking on Asians/Blacks; try just doing highlights or something.

Personally, I dont really find blonde hair that attractive, even if I have been told so many times that it would look great on me. I have experimented with really black hair, and red hair so far.

I think that black women look ridiculous with blonde hair. Black people were all meant to have dark hair and dark eyes and anything else on them just looks out of place. And dont even get me started on black people that wear blue and green eye contacts. I mean why go through the trouble of putting some piece of glass or whatever contacts are made of in your eye just to desperately have blue or green eyes. They need to just accept their dark features cause thats what they all naturally have. Now white women like me can have a variety of looks we can have any hair and eye color so anything looks good on us.
