Would I look ridiculous with blonde hair? And tips on going from dark to light...?

Basically I have always had dark hair. I love my dark hair... but I get bored incredibly easily. The most I've ever done is some blonde highlights and I've done red a bunch of times. Something is making me thing "go blonde, go blonde!!" but will it look completely hideous with my features?

If you think it would look ok, how do I go about going from my dark hair color to blonde without a) costing $500 and b) completely ruining my hair? I have a lot of color history in my hair... both red and dark brown/black colors and about 2 inches of my natural color at the roots.

to be honest u have so many underlying pigments in your hair now i am not sure what will happen~u will have to have your entire head lifted 10 SHADED NOW that's alot and it will do alot of damage but remember the golden rule color will deposit darker on color but COLOR WILL NOT LIFT COLOR DEAR it requires bleach so Ur hair would have to be in excellent condition~honest i think ur jair looks pretty on u i am a stylist for 20 yrs~~~i would just add alot of blonde hi lites heavy ones dont try to do your entire head by the way ur blue eyes are very pretty and i am not weird or nothing

natural is better it suits u but blonde first ur eyebrows dont match second enjoy it i think it looks gd the way it is

instead of trying to go either black or white with no gray areas, why dont u just do a light brown????

bleach, toner, hot oil treatments, and a great load of patience.

the only way you wont damage your hair is if you go get it done professionally, but there are ways to do it at home, granted you do it properly. i think you'd look great as a blonde, btw.

To me you would look awsome going blond. But if you don't want it to ruining your hair I would get a professionals advice then if she said it is okay then just go to the store and buy some hair coloring

Sure you'd look fine, but keep in mind in most situations people look better with their natural hair colors.

TIPS:

1.) Keep your roots touched up. It looks so terrible to see dark roots coming into blonde hair.

2.) Make sure your eyebrows match. If you have to lighten those too do it.
