Ash blonde hair dye?

Hi all, My hair is currently a brassy dark blonde. I would like to make it grayish, like a extra ash blonde. do you know of any good hair dyes and shades for this? ive tried lightest ash blonde from nice n easy but its still brassy... thank you for any suggestions!

They have a sealer you can put on your hair to prevent the brassy. Go to any beauty supply and ask for help, they all have info on the items. As far as dye, our household loves Loreal. Good Luck hon.

i'm sorry....i too am on a tight budget but will NEVER do a dye job from any bottle again. if you have to save, then save. there is nothing compared to a properly done salon job....even if it's one colour process....cheaper than highlights.....dye jobs from a box look like....dye jobs from a box :-(

I don't want to sound up my own **** but I use Nice 'n' Easy 97 It comes out nothing like the colour on the box. I have very long hair and colour it myself but I get at least 3-4 comments in a week about how nice the colour of my hair is and that's mainly women asking if it's natural. I just literally slap it on like it's a conditioner. I used to use lightest ash blonde but it used to go a bluish colour first like I'd had a blue rinse. lol xx My tip is I leave it on at least 15 minutes longer than the max time. Good luck xx

you can buy that dye that has silver stuff in the product it gets rid of the tint that blonde hair can get. Otherwise you can get a silver sampoo as well to get rid of orange tints. Just be careful when you dye your hair blonde because its bad for your hair so dont do it too often! Sorry i dont have a product name!!

I used to dye my (dark brown) hair blonde using Born Blonde Lightener from Clairol - they made a range of toners to put on after which were fantastic (and pretty much foolproof). I used the platinum one but there was a light ash blonde which I used occasionally that was a lovely silvery blonde colour. It is quite hard to get hold of but Clairol used to do a mail order service - you could order 3 packs at a time. It's probably easiest to order it online.

what you need is a grey (blue based) haircolour, try Goldwell A-mix which is pure ash, this should tone out all the brass as it has a very blue base and blue neutralises orange.
