i have natural light blonde hair with even lighter highlights and decided to dye it a dark red. now i want my light blonde hair back but i dont know how to do it with out making it look brassy or killing my hair. Help!!!!

L'oreal makes a product called hair color remover.I've used it myself and it doesn't hurt your hair at all.You will have to dye it afterwards but you can do it the same shade as your own color so when it grows in you won't notice the difference.it costs about 12 bucks and you can get it at Wal mart or most drugstores.I've NEVER had a problem with it.

whatever you do, dont bleach it. i'll literally fry your hair. buy a blonde hair dye kit at a drugstore... and condition your hair afterwards.

Take the process in steps. Keep going through lighter shades. Start off with dieing it a medium brown then a dirty blonde brown, and then another shade of darker blonde if you were like, platnium blonde.

Also look into a shampoo that helps repair your hair from the damage. That will help. :]

Avoid washing your hair for a few days and use hair oil. This will make your hair heathy and it will soon it will be ready to dye again.

take a nap for about a year. when you wake up trim off the dark red hair and you will be back to your natural blonde.

That's tough. You probably should wait until the red grows out or go a darker color. I would wait a little while. The red might grow on you.

Don't try and fix it urself.. that could make it worse.. go to a good salon and ask them if they can fix it for you.

You are going to have to use hair color remover.You can not get it out by putting dye over it. I think your best bet would be to have it fixed at a salon.

I would try to wash it out but that probably won't work but could help. Then see a hair professional. If not possible and you really don't like your new hair color, dye it blonde back again. And after the blonde dye fades, you won't be able to tell because your natural hair color is blonde. Just make sure that the blonde dye is a lot like your original hair color. Hope I helped! ok well you have to bleach it... and dying it blonde is the same as bleach, if you actually read the box it is the same just not as strong and you will have to do it twice. if you go to a salon they will bleach it....

bleach isn't going to kill your hair, no it's not good for it, but you will live, it wont fall out or anything, it will just need some extra love and care, some higher end conditioner. and you will be fine, it will basically be back to normal...

you'll have to bleach it lighter than your hair, then get a color that will match or get close to you old color.

my suggetsion, go to a salon, most salons are cheap enough for a basical hair dye, it's like 30 or 40 bucks, not that much, just stay away from those crazy over priced ones. you can do it yourself, but chances are by the time you are done, you wont be happy with what you have and you'll end up at a salon having them fix what you did trying to it.
