about 8 months ago i dyed my strawberry / copper red natural hair blonde, totally cute. i didnt keep it up so i cut my hair to get most of the blonde out so i could redo it. not all the blonde was cut out so it looked funny. i then dyed my 2 toned(roots natural ends blonde) hair blonde all over and it turned out yellow/ orange.can i dye the yellow a light brown or would that not work? Please someone help me!!!!

You don't have to go to a hair salon (like what a lot of people here are telling you)! And dying it again won't hurt your hair - it's the bleaching that does the most damage to hair.

If you want your hair to be brown with a hint of red, use a medium or dark brown dye. Since your hair is already a yellow/orange, the brown will darken it up so that the yellow in the yellow/orange looks more brown (or golden brown if you use a lighter brown hair dye) and the orange in the yellow/orange looks more red.

If you want your hair to look brown without the red, then you would have to bleach out the orange from the yellow/orange and then dye it brown.

And yes, you can use a light brown. But keep in mind that it may not be dark enough - it might turn the yellow/orange more orange than light brown. But you can always go darker if it doesn't work out.

Go and buy a toner shampoo and conditioner...it should be purple :) That will bring the blonde out and make the colour stay longer.

Just dye it a deeper blonde to light brown and it will come out withn highlights due to the lighter blonde spots in it.....

you need a filler colour- go to your hair dresser. what you have done is strip the colour off your hair, and if you color over it that will be double processing it, it could break off really bad- go to your hairdresser for a filler.. she knows how to do it safe.

i have the same color hair, i have strawberry blonde hair and over the summer i died mine blonde, it was ok but then i didnt really like it, so i wanted to take make it back to my natural hair color. putting the brown in will work excillently! youll love the way your hair turns out! i love the way mine did! ;)

her hair was so bright and had about 3 weird different yellows in.

I am very sure she went out and got another blonde dye or toner or something to make it all the same colour.

It worked in the end.

If I were you I would make an emergency appointment to see the hairdresser just in case you muck it up some more but you could also just take the risk and dye it a light brown. I can't really see it going wrong.

Next time you dye your hair blonde, I would bleach it a white blonde first and then dye it with the blonde hair dye to get the best results.

Go to a beauty supply store and get 40 developer and than get a light brown dye with a violet base. You also need gloves and a hair dye applicator. Ask the clerk to help you find these items.Your hair will look black when the dye is applied but don't freak it will be brown when finished and dried. Ask the clerk to help you find the supplies you need.

Also get yourself a good deep hair conditioner, because your hair will be pretty damaged after double processing it.

I WOULD GO TO A REPUTABLE BARBER/SALON SUPPLY STORE OR TO A SALON AND ASK AROUND. I WOULDNT MAKE A SALAD-LOOK OUT OF MY HAIR. I WOULDNT FIDDLE WITH IT SO MUCH- - - YOUR NATURAL HAIR COLORATION SOUNDS GREAT. !
