Is it possible for brunette hair to naturally turn blonde?

I am a natural brunette and have been all of my life. I've also been brown eyed the majority of my life, the only part not when was I was a baby and my eyes were green but turned brown. Within the last six months, my hair and eyes seem to have been changing. My eyes are now brown on the inside, and dark green on the outside. The part that I'm wondering about more, though, is that lately, my hair has been becoming more blonde. I've even found some blonde hairs in the hairs that fall out from my head and in my brush, and my hair looks more blonde in the sunlight now. I'm wondering if it's possible for a brown-eyed brunette to turn blonde with blue or green eyes. Also, if it is possible to naturally go from brunette to blonde, does anyone have any recommendations of what is the best hair dye to use to dye my hair back to brunette (nothing against blondes, but I definitely don't want to be one...I've always strongly preferred being brunette). Thanks.

Could be your city is adding more chlorine to the water? then you go out in the sun and it bleaches it? As for your eyes? Sounds like they are hazel, they change color in certain types of light.

Sorry, but no one wants to read all of that.

You only go back to your natural hair color.

maybe it's gray hairs.... cause I doubt you're morphing into a blonde....

I'm not sure if its naturally possible, but it could be the sun light. I have dark brown hair with redish brown highlights [looks pretty cool] and you can tell in the sunlight. They have just recently been noticable, so maybe you're hair color is changing from a different hertiage you have. [i've got some irish in me]

You can go from brown to blonde. Just go out in the sun a lot and try using "Sun-In". That's supposed to lighten hair when exposed to sunlight.

Absolutely not! There has to be some chemical involvement for this to happen.

yes it's possible.

my hair is naturally brown but one time I used the hair dryer so close to my hair until it burned and turned blonde.

so unless you burned your hair, i don't think it can change that much

I don't think that could possilby happen, especially not the eyes. My hair was naturally dark brown, but I lost it all , it grew in almost white, but unless that happens to you, I would say not!!Be happy with what you have!! What ever color!! I was just happy mine grew back at all!!!!!

  1. Eye and hair color can and do change, but not usually late in life. That doesn't mean it doesn't happen, just less common. Babies and children will often change eye and hair color, sometimes several times.

My wife was born blond hair blue eyes. She became a brown haired brown eyed woman. Her eyes at one point were also definately green, not green in a particular light.

Myself, I was born blond hair and blue eyes, my hair is darker blond now, but never changed to the degree you mentioned. My eyes however continue to change, sometimes more green than blue... depending on the light and what colors I am wearing.

My Mother was born Blonde, went brunette, then reddish brown, and now a silver gray from age. Her eyes also change like mine do.

Sometimes these changes are chemical, sometimes genetic. Sometimes just what you wear.
