I really recommend going to a salon for that, but if you insist on doing it yourself, you need to go to a beauty supply store and get some bleach there. Since you did it so dark, you need to get bleach and a 20 volume developer. Leave the bleach on for about 40 minutes probably, but if it is getting white take it off. If it ends up looking orange, you should get a demi permanant color with a violet base to it, like redken shades eq 9v, and it will neutralize the orange.

your hair will turn orange, no question about it. box color never is intended for someone to go from black to blond, it just doesn't happen. if you want it fixed, pay the money and go get it done because you will kill it if you do it at ome.

Yes, I have tried that myself. It'll come out an orangish color. Get it done professionally. That'll work.

Highlights will make it lighter, too.

As a former hairdresser, please have it done professionally at a salon (make sure your hairdresser is an expert colorist...not all hairdressers are color experts). Unless you are a trained hairdresser, the chances of you messing up your hair where it will turn either streaks of orange or frying are high. If you mess up your haircolor at home, trust me, you will spend even MORE doing corrective color at a salon.

i would not use the home coloring ones in the boxes because there not professional and its a lot worse on your hair

talk to the stylist about it

DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME! You will completly regret it. The best thing for you to do is to go to a professional. Trying to do this at home will make it worse, the horror stories you have heard are true. One you will kill your hair even more and also you will most likely turn orange. Go to someone who knows what they are doing. If you have any more questions or concerns you may contact me by email at cosmogirl832001@yahoo.com
