Dark brown slightly damaged hair to blonde?

I dyed my hair black. It was naturally medium brown. Then a few months after that I dyed it black again because the color started to fade. Then, I decided I wanted blonde hair. My black dye had already started to fade again (because it was a few months later) so I went to Wal Mart and looked at a box of hair bleach, and called the phone number on the back of it. They said I could use it every 24 hrs and it would be fine to do with previously dyed hair. So I bought it and had my sister dye it.

It came out horrible. It was bright clown orange. So we bought another box, and this time it came out light orange, but I didnt want to bleach it any more because its so damaging, so I dyed it black a week later.

I want to go blonde again. (my black hair has faded to light blonde) Would it work if I bought light brown dye and then blonde dye and did it one after another to get it lighter?

(I don't want to bleach it anymore, just dye)

STOP! You should not do anything to this hair. No one, not even a salon will be able to use color to lighten this. A bleach will have to be used- but not right now. You and your sis don't know anything about hair color and are going to ruin your hair. Please seek professional advice in salon immediately. I do not see blond in your immediate future but perhaps when they actually see the condition and color of your hair they can recommend a plan that will make you happy. Don't push this hair anymore. It sounds like you are lucky it is on your head. Best of luck.

first off make sure your taking care of your hair and maintainin its helf ... ya dont want to go bald early b/c of over dying and bleaching. if you go to a very light brownish blonde it may work and then let it fade a bit then try dying it a drk ash to golden blonde platinum will turn orange...

try leaving some of the conditioner after washing your hair... it will help protect and repair your hair:)

If it's already damaged and you keep coloring it, how is it going to recover? Let the color grow out first, keep it conditioned and then if it's in a healthier state re-dye.

I can identify with you. I have dark (almost black) dyed hair myself that is very dry and somewhat damaged from using a flat iron on it and want to go to a dark blonde with highlights. I went to a very reputable salon to see if it could be done. The colorist told me that it would have to be done in several steps. He would have to add low lights going from dark brown to a caramel color and gradually lighten each visit until I reached the desired color. He said this would take about 7 visits and that it would keep the hair from becoming too damaged. Next Wednesday I go in for the Japanese Hair straightening and two weeks from then I start the slow (and expensive) process of going blonde. Good luck and I hope this helps.
