Why is blonde hair and blue eyes so popular and attractive?

people in general seem to adore blue eyes and blonde hair....why? it seems like we're creating an aryan race by only being attracted to those people....i'm not saying everyone is attracted to those features, but many people are as opposed to black and brown features and darker features...i know blue eyes and blonde hair are rare traits in comparison with other darker traits, but why are those features so appealing to so many people?

why is it for this particular trait we hold it higher in our minds (in general) than other colors, esp. the darker ones? its not that they are unique, because many other traits are unique to people but not necessarily attractive to many in our society(large noses or large foreheads, for example). what makes blonde hair and blue eyes so popular and attractive? i personally find brown and black hair and brown or green eyes more attractive, but the majority of people do not....why?

i don't think blonde hair and blue eyes are attractive it reminds me of hatred for some reason i love dark features i find them more attractive i find darker eyes attractive and darker hair but people are different

it's personal preference in the end tho. i find that men from asian countries tend to prefer asian girls, and white guys CAN prefer asian girls, if they're willing to experiment and go out of their usual comfort zone. as for latinas, i think w/the whole j.lo butt fascination, they're receiving some luv, too.

That's not true - maybe in the 80's, but not now. I'm blond with green eyes, attractive, and when I go out with friends of mine who are more exotic looking (Indian, Philippino, mixed, Cuban, etc), it is like I DON'T EXIST. Seriously - what is in right now is to NOT be white, and to have a big butt and a small waist. These are all things I am not. I NEVER see a white girl in a video on BET - unless it is that Justin Timberlake video. I feel like I can't be attractive and sexy like those girls, because I am blonde.

The moral of the story - just be happy with what you've got.
