Blonde hair broke off in chunks!?

I've been an on and off blonde for a couple years now. The last time I dyed it (about 2 months ago), I stripped out the red dye that I was sportin and then bleached it. It ended up being orange, which I expected. I waited a day and then bleached it again. Next thing I knew, my hair was breaking off in chunks. I have gone from black to blonde before and it never fell out. I ended up cutting a few inches of my hair off. I've been conditioning my hair well and everything and I cut out all the damaged parts, but now I have about an inch of roots that I need to touch up. I'm terrified to bleach it though, because I don't know if it will cause my hair to break off where the roots hit the blonde. Does anyone know what to do??????

OMG Leave the hair alone, I would go to a beauty shop, strip all the color out, go back to natural and let you hair heal! You are killing it.

You could try VO5 hot oil treatments once a month, but if it's coming out in chunks like that, you need a professional

stop messing with your hair go to a professional and stay natural everyone will love it

use coconut oil on your hair and sleep in it. do this 3 days a week. it sounds like the bleach your useing is to strong try useing a tint in the lightst blonde you can get this from sallys www.Sally Beauty Co. mix the tint with 1 teaspoon of bleaching powder and it will bring your hair up blonde with out breaking it off

The same thing happened to me a few years ago Do not bleach it again. Go to Trade Secrets at a mall and pick up a bottle of Redkin shampoo and conditioner it's about $13-14 dollars a bottle but it works it will stop the hair from breaking, but you still can not bleach it or your screwed even more. The reason it started breaking is because the of the volume of proxcide in the bleach was too high. Best bet is to wait a few months before coloring your hair again when you do decide to do it go to a professional. Good luck I know how you feel.
