Blonde hair with wash in was out hairdye?

I have natural dark blonde hair and want to dye my hair light blonde like Marilyn Monroe for a fancy dress party in 2 weeks.

So do blonde wash in wash out hair dyes actually exsist? And will it work on my hair without it changing the colour permanently?

Ive never dyed my hair before and ive never had highlights.

Please help, Im really worried this will go wrong.

If you want lighter blond hair then no, you cannot get the result you are looking for with a temporary color. In order to lighten your hair you have to use permanent color because it contains the peroxide to lift it as light as you want it.

I also have dark blonde hair and when trying to go lighter I was unable to find any wash in/wash out product. I was only able to find a wash in/out for going darker..not to say it doesn't exist, but usually to go lighter you need to use a higher level of ammonia then wash ins provide.

At Rite-Aid they have blonde rinse which doesn't last very long, but I doubt it'll make it light as Marilyn Monroes, the only way to acheive that would be probably to bleach it. If your hair is still a virgin (never been colored) you might not want to since it gets very damaged. I bleached my own hair that color and to this day it feels like cloth. Wearing a wig can never fail

You might be able to find some platnuim blonde rinse or hair dye at the store. Check the instructions to see how long it lasts.

Good luck

No. They do not exist. Temporary hair color can not lighten your hair, it only bonds to it. The only dye you could possibly use to lighten your hair is permanent dye, which, needless to say, does NOT wash out. There ARE platinum spray in dyes, which do wash out, but don't look very good....or good at all. Of course, you coul try one, as there is nothing to lose if you do...
